                traceroute - find the path to a remote host

SYNOPSIS
                traceroute host

DESCRIPTION
                traceroute is used to determine the path taken through a network
                by messages from one host to another. It will discover all the
                routers between the hosts and also measure the round trip time
                to each router. This will give an indication of possible bottle-
                necks in the network.
